What drives the price

Reset pricing is mostly a function of how the module is accessed. Some units are read over the diagnostic connector on the bench. Others need the case opened and the memory chip read directly, which takes longer and carries more risk.

• Module manufacturer and memory type
• Whether the unit can be read on the connector or needs chip level access
• Additional damage found on the board, such as corrosion or lifted pads
• Return shipping method and destination

The realistic timeline

Bench work takes about 72 hours from the moment your module arrives. The rest of the timeline is transit in both directions, which is the part you control by choosing the carrier.

• Canada: one to three days each way
• US: three to six days each way including customs
• Bench work: approximately 72 hours after receipt

The two things that add days

First, a missing note in the box. Without a name, phone number and VIN we have to match the module to an order manually. Second, an unconfirmed part number. If a module turns out to be one we do not support, the whole round trip is wasted. Email us the part number off the label before you ship and both problems disappear.
